Today, I arrived way too early for my train at Hoboken Station. Normally, I’d sit and scroll or just wait. But something in me said, “Just walk.”
That walk led me to the most peaceful waterfront views, playful fountains, and a memorial I didn’t expect.
One honoring Hoboken residents who died in the 9/11 attacks. It stopped me in my tracks. 💔🇺🇸
Reading those names… I was reminded how short life is and how easily we forget the gift of today. It’s so easy to rush, complain, or stay stuck in our routine; but what if we paused more often? What if we chose to walk with God rather than sit with worry?
As I walked, I prayed.
As I looked across the water, I whispered, “Lord, teach me to number my days.”
