If you’re in a storm right now, this is for you
I left home at 16 and had to figure out life on my own way too early. I had my first child at 18, and from the moment I became a mom, my kids became my entire world. They still are. They’re my everything.
But I was in a very unhealthy relationship and carrying pain I didn’t know how to handle. I turned to drugs to cope, and it pulled me away from the people I loved the most.
That was one of the hardest parts of my story—because even though I loved my children more than anything, I wasn’t in a place to be the mother they needed at that time.
I eventually got clean from drugs, but life didn’t get easier right away. I still felt lost, and that’s when I started drinking. It became how I dealt with everything I didn’t want to feel.
But God never gave up on me.
And I never stopped loving my children.
Piece by piece, He started turning my life around. He gave me peace, helped me get healthier, and put people in my life who supported real change.
Now I’m in a healthy relationship, and I’m going back to school so I can help others who are walking through the same kind of pain and recovery I’ve lived through.
If you’re in a storm right now, please hear this: you’re not too far gone. There is still hope. God can calm even this.

Remember, healing takes time, and celebrating small victories is essential in maintaining motivation.
