Instead of focusing on expensive gifts or grand gestures, I like to treat the day as an opportunity to connect genuinely with those I care about. For example, taking a hike to a scenic viewpoint or simply spending uninterrupted time talking with loved ones feels far more meaningful than anything bought in a store. This approach helps me avoid the sadness or anxiety that can come from feeling alone or pressured to be in a relationship on February 14th. Love doesn’t need a special day to be celebrated—those daily connections and small acts of kindness hold the real value.
