The Corning Museum of Glass is truly a must-visit.
This was my 4th or 5th visit, and every single time I discover something new.
This time, I loved exploring the “Tough Stuff: Women in the American Glass Studio” exhibition, the interactive Wonder Stations, the Innovation Gallery and of course the special summer shows. It was absolutely amazing to watch the glassmaking demos and to learn how these beautiful pieces come to life, my favorite was “Don’t Try This At Home” 🔥🏺
Make sure to grab a bite at the Museum Cafe during your visit🍕 the food here is fabulous and check out The Shops for unique glass finds and souvenirs for every budget.

Visiting the Corning Museum of Glass is always an inspiring experience, especially for those fascinated by art and craftsmanship. On my recent visit, I was particularly drawn to the 'Tough Stuff: Women in the American Glass Studio' exhibition, which beautifully showcases the contributions of female artists in this traditionally male-dominated field. This exhibit adds a powerful narrative to the museum’s broad historical perspective spanning over 35 centuries of glass art. One of the highlights I recommend is spending ample time at the Wonder Stations. These interactive exhibits provide hands-on experiences that engage visitors of all ages, making it a perfect stop for families. Watching the live glassmaking demonstrations is utterly captivating—the skill and precision of the artisans bring the art form vividly to life. The “Don’t Try This At Home” show is especially thrilling as it combines education with entertainment, showing just how challenging and exciting glassmaking can be. Food lovers will appreciate the Museum Cafe, which offers delicious meals that are a refreshing break between exhibits. After exploring the galleries, don’t miss browsing The Shops. They offer a wide range of unique glass items and souvenirs, suitable for various budgets, allowing you to bring a piece of the museum’s artistry home. For families, the free admission for kids 17 and under is an incredible deal that makes the visit more accessible and enjoyable for all. Whether you are coming with children, friends, or solo, the museum is a place where curiosity and creativity thrive. If you plan to make the visit part of a day trip or weekend getaway, consider exploring local options nearby Corning, NY. The area offers charming dining options, local wineries, and scenic spots that complement the museum visit perfectly. Overall, the Corning Museum of Glass continues to be a bucket list attraction in New York State for a reason—it seamlessly blends history, innovation, and interactive fun that leaves every visitor eager to return.
