Journaling my feelings has been a valuable tool, helping me uncover patterns of thought and behavior that keep me guarded. Another important aspect is gradually challenging those self-protective barriers. This might mean slowly opening up to trusted friends or setting healthier boundaries rather than isolating yourself. Remember, protection doesn't mean complete avoidance but rather learning how to keep yourself safe while allowing room for growth and vulnerability. Lastly, seeking support from counselors or support groups can be a transformative step. Talking to someone who understands can provide perspective and tangible strategies for coping with hurt and building resilience. Remember, healing is not linear. Feeling tired from being hurt is natural, but through self-awareness, support, and gentle self-care, it is possible to move forward with strength and renewed hope.
