😡I HATED CHURCH 😡🖤

#letschat When I was younger I hated going to church 3X a week, but my mother did not play about being active in church. ⛪️

One thing you going to do is go to choir practice, praise dance, bible study, and attend regular church service and evening church services. You better be awake during both church services too🤦🏿‍♀️

This made me go far away from church when I moved out at 15 and throughout my early 20s. 👀@

Although it seem like I turned my back on him, he didn’t turn is back on me EVER! 🙌🏿 THANK YOU JESUS!!

Once I turned 25, God broke me down so hard, that I had to come back to him immediately. He moved everyone and thing out the way that was a distraction.

After that I been growing my faith even stronger! Mom, thank you for installing this in my life. 😊I’m glad I get to share it with all of you.

#letschat where are you in your faith journey? What are you doing to grow your faith? 😁

... Read moreMany of us can relate to feeling disconnected from church, especially when early experiences felt more like obligation than inspiration. I've often heard friends share similar stories of drifting away in their teens or early twenties, feeling judged, bored, or simply that the traditional church wasn't 'for them.' It's a common challenge for modern church communities to connect with younger generations who seek authenticity, relevance, and perhaps a different style of worship than what their parents or grandparents knew. Sometimes, these differences can unfortunately create conflicts within the church itself, making it harder for young people to feel truly at home. For those who've felt like an 'ex-Christian,' or simply found themselves questioning their faith, it's important to remember that such feelings are valid. The journey of faith isn't always a straight path, and it's okay to have seasons of doubt or distance. What I've learned, and what many others discover, is that even when we feel like we've turned our backs, something profound is happening. There's a constant, unwavering presence. The Bible reminds us of 'GOD'S PROMISES' – assurances that can be a true anchor during uncertain times. One of the most comforting promises is that He will never leave you (Hebrews 13:35). This isn't just about physical presence, but a spiritual one, a quiet knowing that you're not alone even in your struggles. When life throws curveballs and you feel overwhelmed, remember that He will fight for you and be your strength (Philippians 4:13). It’s a powerful thought, realizing you don't have to carry every burden alone. And perhaps most beautifully, He will always love you (1 John 4:16). This unconditional love is what often draws people back, a pure acceptance that transcends any past mistakes or periods of doubt. If you're on a journey back to faith, or even just exploring, consider finding a community that resonates with your spirit. It might not be the church you grew up in, and that's perfectly fine. Many modern churches are embracing diverse worship styles that speak to younger audiences, focusing on community, social justice, and personal growth. Look for places where you feel genuinely welcomed and where the message feels relevant to your daily life. Engage in personal reflection, prayer, or even just quiet time to reconnect with your spiritual self. Sometimes, just opening that small door is enough. Remember, God has plans for you (Jeremiah 29:11) – plans for hope and a future, even when the path seems unclear. Don't be afraid to ask questions, to seek understanding, and to allow your faith to evolve. It's a personal relationship, and like any relationship, it grows through honest engagement. Embrace the journey, knowing that wherever you are, there's always an opportunity for deeper connection and stronger faith.

Love this! I think there’s a time for everything. I can’t imagine my life without God. Like how lonely, sad, and empty it would be. And to think right now that’s only a small glimpse of what eternity would be is no where close to what we experience here on earth.

Hey sweeties! I wanted to share my recent story of how I went to get my hair dyed darker. So I knew that I wouldn’t be able to go home for fall break since I would be going to Dublin to visit my boyfriend and my hair would be super overgrown by then. I decided that I could do a little balaya

CHURCH NOTES✝️💗
Today in Church we talked about John 15: 1:5, we learned that God is our branch and we are the vines. Without him we are nothing. We cannot grow properly without the proper pruning. Just like the in the ground the vine has to be lifted up, Jesus was lifted up on the cross at Calvary. Happy Sabbath!

Books that everyone loves but I hated :(
Hiiiiiii! First I’m going to ask that you please don’t hate me! So I wanted to talk about two books that are highly acclaimed and that I hear everyone loves. The first book is a little niche. I am a big fan of disturbing books and horror of all aspects, but A Clockwork Orange did not do it for me.

Why I Stayed In an Apartment I Hated
I didn’t stay because the apartment experience was good, I stayed because I kept convincing myself it would get better. My internal dialogue was loud: “I’ll move next year.” “It’s not that bad.” “It’s only messy sometimes.” “Once money gets better, I’ll leave.” “She’s my best friend… we’ll

story time: i hated my wedding vows
my husband and i opted to say the traditional wedding vows at our wedding because we were nervous about getting emotional in front of a crowd (we are both pretty private people). looking back, i wish we had written vows to each other that were more personal and read them during our first look.
