Don't use Dime Analytics to file taxes!
This message means 📍
"Do not use the Cash In / Cash Out data from Dime Analytics to file taxes.
👉🏻 The reason is that inbound-outbound data is just a list of money transferred in and transferred out, not taxable profit or income data.
Take, for example:
👉🏻 transfer money into Dime 100,000 baht → It's just a move, not an income.
👉🏻 withdraw 120,000 baht → not all income, because 120,000 baht is mixed with principal and profit.
📍 what should be used in tax filings are documents that show direct tax information, such as
👉🏻 Capital Gain Report, if applicable
👉🏻 Dividend Statement
👉🏻 Tax withholding affidavit (if any)
👉🏻 A revenue summary or tax report issued by Dime or a broker.
So Dime warned me not to put the money in-and-out on the Analytics page into taxes because it could miscalculate in case of excessive taxes or incorrect data reports.
If you invest U.S. stocks through Dime and are about to file Thai taxes, use the Transaction History / Tax Documents provided by Dime instead of looking at the entry-exit balance on the Analytics page.
