Was honestly too ashamed to post in this journal past few days.

I’ve officially decided to tender my resignation today- company has announced another wave of working hour change, salary and AL cuts.

So emotions have been on a rollercoaster recently and my account is back to $797… I mean.. money lost can always be made back but I need to get a hold of my emotions and not let it affect trading.

I guess that’s the point of a journal, not to feel shameful of mistakes but rather to learn.

So here’s one of my favourite clips from a recent cdrama I’ve been bingeing on.

Account balance: $797

... Read moreSharing personal experiences like these really highlights how intertwined our professional and trading lives can be, especially during stressful times. I've found that when external circumstances, like company cutbacks or changes, disrupt my routine, it's easy to let emotions cloud my judgment, especially in trading where discipline matters the most. One key lesson from this journey is not to dwell on losses or current hardships. Instead, focusing on the future and maintaining hope is crucial. The excerpt from the C-drama mentioned perfectly captures this mindset—pain and patience are signs of progress toward your dream. No matter the setbacks, sticking to your goals and maintaining faith in yourself can make all the difference. In practical terms, keeping a journal for trading and personal reflection helped me track my emotional state and decision-making patterns. Writing down mistakes without shame allows you to learn effectively rather than being paralyzed by regret. Also, routines like meditative breathing or short breaks can help regain emotional control when faced with market volatility or job uncertainty. Ultimately, resiliency comes from continually reminding yourself that setbacks are temporary. Hard work, focus, and persistence will lead to better opportunities, both in trading and life. Chasing hope, as echoed in the clip, isn’t about blind optimism but about steady commitment to your goals, even on tough days.
