Wow factor status here! Check out the "Looped" concept app created by Jarod and fellow students at Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts. Lots of natural talent with this group, particularly with Jarod.

We had the distinct pleasure of hosting a full, college-credit #internship this past spring. Jarod trained in many areas and was able to graduate early thanks to his internship with Quantum!

... Read moreWow, reading about Jarod Hickman's 'Looped' app really got me thinking about how crucial smart event platforms are, especially for university communities like Rutgers! I've always wished there was a super intuitive way to find out what's happening around campus, beyond just scrolling through endless social media feeds. And honestly, Looped seems to hit all the right notes based on what I've seen. Imagine having all the EVENTS at your fingertips, whether it's a thrilling Rutgers vs. UCLA Basketball game, a unique MudHouse Basement Show, or even an elegant Routure X FACE Masquerade Ball. The SEARCH function shown in the screenshots, allowing users to filter by Sports, Music, Clubs, or Arts, is a game-changer. It means you can quickly dive into what genuinely interests you without wading through irrelevant stuff. One feature that immediately caught my eye is the MAP integration. For a bustling campus with multiple venues like Seminary Pl, Linguistics Building, Van Dyck Hall, or Scott Hall, knowing exactly where an event is and how to get there is incredibly practical. No more getting lost trying to find Ford Hall or Parking Lot 8 for a presentation! And the ability to SAVE events? Pure genius for someone like me who often discovers cool stuff but forgets the details later. What's also fantastic is the clear capability for users to CREATE their own events. This really empowers student organizations or even just a group of friends wanting to host something. Being able to add a title, description, date, address, and even RSVP or Ticket links directly within the app simplifies event planning so much. For example, showcasing details for a band like Sleep House – including their genre, inspiration, and members – adds so much depth for potential attendees. It's inspiring to see how Jarod's natural talent, nurtured at Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts, translated into such a practical and innovative concept. His internship experience clearly provided valuable real-world skills, enabling him to bring this vision to life and even graduate early! It just goes to show how hands-on experience can accelerate learning and innovation. For anyone looking for a more organized and dynamic way to engage with their community, especially in an academic setting, a platform like Looped is invaluable. It transforms the chaotic into a curated experience, making sure you never miss out on what's happening. I truly believe tools like this foster stronger campus engagement and help students connect with both their passions and their peers. It makes me wonder what other amazing features could be added, perhaps even integrating class schedules or study group meetups! The potential is huge.
