... Read moreBlackheads, caused by excess oil and dead skin cells clogging pores, can be frustrating to deal with. To tackle them effectively, it’s essential to understand the best skincare practices. First, consider incorporating products with salicylic acid, such as cleansers and exfoliants, which can penetrate the pores and reduce the buildup that leads to blackheads. Additionally, clay masks, like Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque, can draw out impurities and excess oil. Regular exfoliation is also crucial; using a BHA (beta-hydroxy acid) can help remove dead skin from the surface. However, over-exfoliating can worsen the situation, so balance is key. It's also advisable to maintain a consistent moisturizing routine to prevent skin from becoming too dry, which can sometimes cause increased oil production. Finally, wearing non-comedogenic products helps ensure that makeup or sunscreen doesn’t contribute to clogging your pores. By following these tips and being patient with your skincare routine, you will be on your way to clearer skin.
