A mom cried to me, SNAP’s her only way to feed
Lately, I’ve been up at night worrying what if SNAP benefits really disappear next month right before Thanksgiving. Last week, a mom came in with her two kids, tears in her eyes because SNAP’s her only way to buy turkey and veggies for their holiday meal. If that’s gone? She had no clue how she’d feed them that week, let alone make Thanksgiving feel special.
Every day, more people like her walk through our doors who already stretch every dollar, who rely on SNAP to fill the gaps. If those benefits vanish, our shelves will empty fast. We’re already low on canned goods and frozen meals, and I can’t imagine turning away families begging for help during a time that’s supposed to be about gathering.
It breaks my heart to think about kids going without a Thanksgiving plate. This isn’t just about benefits. If SNAP cuts happen next month, what do you think families in your area will do to get by?

People need to learn to work not sit home all day. I’d u work 20 hrs at least a week u will keep benefits. Should be that way not sitting on ur ass with all them kids and collecting money for free
