Seeing my little terra cotta vase find a new home always warms my heart! It’s amazing how a simple piece can come alive with a bit of paint and glaze. While my latest piece featured a cheerful sun-like face design, it got me thinking about all the incredible possibilities for decorating pottery, especially when it comes to animal themes. First, consider your canvas – just like my Cone 06 terra cotta vase, often low-fire ceramics are perfect for beginners. They're forgiving and allow vibrant colors to pop.
