Here are some tips to ensure your event is a hit: 1. **Themed Decorations**: Set the tone with decorations that reflect the vibrant colors and styles of the late 90s. Think bright pool floaties, inflatable toys, and fun banners. 2. **Classic Snacks**: Hot dogs, cupcakes, ice cream, and popsicles are not just favorites; they’re quintessential summer treats. You can even consider some nostalgic candy options that kids today may not have tried! 3. **Fun Activities**: Include games like water balloon tosses, swimming races, and relay races to keep the energy high. Crafts like making friendship bracelets can also be a great downtime activity. 4. **Safety Measures**: Always prioritize safety, especially around water. Ensure that there are enough adult supervisors and that kids are aware of pool rules. 5. **Photo Opportunities**: Create a fun photo booth area where kids can take pictures with fun props. This can add to the memories of their amazing day. By planning a well-rounded event that incorporates engaging activities and delightful refreshments, you can recreate the joyous atmosphere of a late 90s summer party that kids—and parents—will cherish.

Love it! They probably didn’t care if the food looked catered or not or if it had funny little themed sayings like a pretzel stick, walking sticks or something like that for a “themed” party. I have a friend who tried starting that out with her kids, a lumberjack party for the kids 3rd birthday. No one cared about the snacks sayings just ate them.
