Hi friends 🧡 It’s Tuesday, and I try (keyword try 😅) to share a little “Sparkling Truth” each week. Some weeks I miss, but here we are!
🌊 Throwback Storytime
Back in the day, I managed Gulf-front condos and got to work with some truly incredible properties. Has anyone ever stayed at Edgewater Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, FL?
We managed about 10 units there, all different towers and layouts… but there was one that was truly unforgettable. The owner actually bought two condos side by side, knocked through the walls, and turned them into the largest 3-bedroom at Edgewater! Floor-to-ceiling windows, endless beach views — it was breathtaking.
When I listed it (and other Long Beach Resort condos), my go-to line was:
💬 “Big & Beautiful – Open Tonight!”
Paired with one of my still shots = instant bookings. Between the cleaning, managing, and guest feedback (the good, the bad, and sometimes the awful 😅), I learned a LOT.
💛 Grateful Lessons
Looking back, it was chaotic, but it taught me so much about business, people, and hospitality. And who knows… maybe I was your booking agent or cleaner back then 😉
🐝 Guest Departure Checklist
Since we’re talking rentals, I thought I’d share a friendly guest departure checklist I still use today:
🛏 Strip used bed sheets & gather bath linens (leave in bathroom).
🧹 Quick tidy: trash, crumbs, sand, dirt.
🍽 Do dishes (or load & start dishwasher).
🥡 Remove perishable foods, or let us know if anything’s left.
🔍 Do a final walk-through to check for valuables (chargers, jewelry, etc.).
🐾 Remember: pet hair, trashed properties, or late checkouts = extra fees.
✨ A photo & condition report is always shared with the host/manager. Thank you for treating the space with care — we’re humans, not machines, and your understanding is truly appreciated.
