Sourdough Pop Tarts Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 cup + 1 tsp (125g) all-purpose flour

• 8 tbsp (113g) cold unsalted butter, cubed

• 1/2 tsp sea salt

• 3 tbsp (45g) granulated sugar

• 1/2 cup (125g) cold sourdough discard

• 1 tsp (5g) white vinegar

• 1-2 tbsp cold heavy cream

Instructions

Step 1: Mix Dry Ingredients

• In a bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and sugar.

Step 2: Cut in Butter

• Add cold butter cubes to the flour.

• Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until it looks like coarse crumbs.

Step 3: Add Wet Ingredients

• Stir in sourdough discard and vinegar with a fork.

• Add heavy cream, 1 tbsp at a time, until a dough forms.

Step 4: Chill the Dough

• Shape into a rectangle, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 5: Roll and Assemble

Step 6: Bake
