The mysterious sickness I got at the beach

Some of my friends and I planned a weekend trip to the beach this summer. this beach is about a 6-hour drive from where we live, so by the end of it I was feeling a little car sick but I thought it would pass overnight. Come the next morning I was still not feeling too good but I thought maybe it was just something I had aight yesterday during the drive, so I decided to just go to the beach with them and see what happened. Well by afternoon I was feeling so bad that I ended up asking them to leave the beach a few hours earlier than we planned and go back to the camp where we were staying. I was not any better the next day so we ended up packing up early and making our way home, and to this day I still have no idea what it was that made me so sick.
