Emerald Class Ferry from SG-Bintan-SG

Emerald Class to Bintan was definitely the right decision—especially when you’re traveling with kids. 👌🏻✨

✔️ Less hassle

✔️ Less crowd

✔️ Less tired parents

We decided to have a quick getaway to Bintan during the Vesak Day long weekend here in Singapore. Since we knew it would be a busy travel period, we booked Emerald Class—and we’re so glad we did!

It was our first time both booking Emerald Class and visiting Bintan.

As soon as we arrived at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, check-in was quick and smooth thanks to the dedicated Emerald Class counters. After immigration, we headed to the Emerald Class lounge, where complimentary snacks and drinks were available. (My kids absolutely loved it! 🤗)

Boarding was just as seamless. We were seated on the second level of the ferry, and Emerald Class passengers also have access to an exclusive viewing deck. The ferry crew also sells snacks if you get hungry during the one-hour ride.

Arriving in Bintan was probably the best part. Instead of lining up at immigration, Emerald Class passengers simply wait comfortably in the lounge while the staff process your passports. They also bring your luggage to you, and once everything is ready, you’re free to head straight to your designated hotel transport. It honestly made the whole arrival experience so easy.

Yes, Emerald Class costs more than the regular ferry ticket, but for us, the convenience, shorter queues, and stress-free experience made it completely worth it—especially with kids.

We’ll definitely be visiting Bintan again, and Emerald Class will be our choice every time! 🌴

Have you tried Emerald Class to Bintan? Would you pay extra for a smoother travel experience? ✨

Choosing the Emerald Class ferry from Singapore to Bintan makes a world of difference in managing the stress and logistics of such trips. From my experience, the dedicated check-in counters at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal significantly cut down waiting times, making the start of the journey smooth and hassle-free. One standout feature is the Emerald Class lounge, a comfortable haven where travelers can enjoy unlimited drinks such as coffee, Milo, and various juices, along with snacks like biscuits. This exclusive access not only keeps the kids happy but also allows parents some breathing space before boarding. Onboard, the second-level seating with access to a private viewing deck lets you soak in scenic ocean views in peace—something not often enjoyed on regular ferry rides. Additionally, the ferry crew selling affordable snacks, including popular options like hotdog buns, was a pleasant convenience during the hour-long trip. As a breastfeeding mom, I found the space and comfort provided onboard especially welcoming, ensuring both my baby and I were relaxed. Arrival in Bintan was a breeze thanks to another Emerald Class perk: instead of queuing at immigration, staff handle passport processing in a comfortable lounge, and they deliver your luggage to you. This priority treatment lets families head directly to their hotel transport without unnecessary delays. While Emerald Class tickets come at a premium, this service is worth the extra cost for those valuing time, comfort, and convenience — particularly when traveling with kids. The experience transforms what might be a stressful long weekend getaway into a smooth and enjoyable trip, allowing families to focus on their vacation rather than logistics. Whether you’re a frequent traveler between Singapore and Bintan or planning your first visit, I highly recommend trying Emerald Class. It’s a travel upgrade that truly delivers peace of mind and a more relaxed journey.
