Why I built a digital biz for dinners like this 🥰

No fancy restaurant.

Just a simple hawker dinner with my mum and my son.

Growing up, these dinners were normal.

Somewhere along adulthood, they became rare.

This dinner was a quiet reminder of why I chose to build a digital business around my life —

not squeeze life into leftover time.

Thank God for such a moment.

💭 When was the last time you had an unhurried meal with your parent?

❓ Do you ever worry that “later” might become “too late”?

... Read moreIn today's fast-paced world, moments like a quiet dinner with loved ones have become rare treasures. I've experienced firsthand how the demands of conventional work hours can push family time to the sidelines. That's why I chose to create a digital business model—so I could have the freedom to enjoy unhurried meals with my mum and son without the stress of fitting life into leftover hours. Building a business around my lifestyle meant embracing flexibility, enabling me to work from anywhere and schedule my day to prioritize family. Digital entrepreneurship has opened doors to meaningful connections and experiences I might otherwise have sacrificed. These simple hawker dinners remind me to slow down and savor not just the food, but the precious conversations and laughter shared. It’s easy to underestimate the impact of these moments until you realize how quickly they can slip away as we grow older. If you’ve ever worried that “later” might become “too late” for spending time with your parents or children, I encourage you to consider how a digital business or flexible work arrangement might offer you that freedom. It's not just about working online; it’s about shaping a life where meaningful personal moments take priority. Embracing this lifestyle has made me more grateful and present, proving that success can be measured by joy and connection, not just profits. Simple dinners, free from distractions and time pressure, are where true wealth lies.
