Wait so long… but still nothing

Spent 4 hours waiting…

and got nothing.

Went for bird photography today.

Everyone waiting for the Ernest’s Peregrine Falcon.

It appeared the past few days.

Just not today 😅

Full of photographers.

All waiting. All hoping.

I was even joking…

maybe it went to Church today since it’s Good Friday 😂

But sometimes…

life just doesn’t give U what U expect.

Honestly… a bit disappointed la.

Wait so long…

but empty.

Sounds familiar?

Work hard.

Put in time.

Give your energy.

But income… still the same.

No increment.

And job also not even feel secure.

And the worst part?

U don’t even know if next year will be better.

Still have to keep going.

Still have to show up.

Today no bird.

But still got something else.

Time with friends.

Laugh a bit. Talk a bit.

And I realised…

Maybe not everything is abt getting the shot.

But if everything in life depends on

“wait and hope something appear”…

wah… quite tiring also.

U ever feel like…

you’ve been working for years… but income still stuck?

And even your job… doesn’t really give U that sense of security?

That kind of waiting…

not easy.

That’s also why…

I don’t want everything in my life

to depend on chance anymore.

By God’s grace,

I started building my digital biz :)

Something I can learn, improve,

and not just sit there and wait.

Maybe…

it’s not abt avoiding disappointment.

Maybe it’s abt having another path,

so your income is not depending on just one source.

... Read moreWaiting for a rare bird like the Ernest’s Peregrine Falcon can teach us more than just patience—it reveals how frustration often comes from things beyond our control. Many of us have experienced similar moments in life: putting in effort and time but still feeling like we gain nothing. I’ve personally faced this with my own career where despite hard work, income remained stagnant and job security felt elusive. What helped me was shifting my perspective from solely depending on chance or external factors to actively building alternative routes for growth and security. Just like waiting endlessly for a bird to appear requires patience but no control, relying on a single income source can leave you vulnerable and tired. Starting a digital business became my way of regaining control. It allowed me to learn, improve, and create new value rather than just waiting for opportunities to come. This new path didn’t eliminate disappointments but gave me confidence that my income wouldn’t hinge on one single source. Spending time with friends while waiting reminded me that even when plans don’t go as hoped, meaningful moments still exist. Similarly, in work and life, focusing on relationships and personal growth helps balance the disappointment of unmet expectations. So, if you find yourself stuck like waiting for that elusive bird or a raise that never comes, consider crafting 'plan Bs'—explore skills, hobbies, or side businesses that could diversify your income and improve your sense of security. Patience is a virtue, but pairing it with proactive steps can open doors and reduce the emotional toll of waiting with nothing to show for it. Remember, life isn’t just about the final shot or result; it’s about the journey, resilience, and the new opportunities you create along the way.
