How long have u been waiting to feel ready?

From 1 o’clock to 12 o’clock…

We all have the same clock.

What are we doing today that our future self will thank us for?

Every month, the bills arrive on time.

The utilities.

The phone bill.

The insurance.

The mortgage.

The credit card.

Funny thing is…

The bills never forget us.

But many of us keep postponing the things that matter to our future.

Our health.

Our retirement.

Our dreams.

Our Plan B.

“When I’m ready.”

“When things settle down.”

“When I have more confidence.”

Another day passes.

Then another.

And before we know it, another year has gone by.

That’s one reason I decided to stop waiting until I felt 100% ready.

Not because I have everything figured out.

But because I’ve realised regrets don’t always happen years later.

Sometimes they happen the very next day.

Whether it’s improving my fitness, learning new skills, or exploring a digital business.

I’ve learned that confidence usually comes after we start.

Not before.

Thankful for the reminder.

And thankful to God for every opportunity to take that first step, even when I don’t feel fully ready. 🙏

If there’s something you’ve been wanting to do but keep waiting for the “right time”, maybe today is a good day to take that first small step. 😊

I’ve experienced this hesitation firsthand — whether it was starting a fitness routine, learning a new skill, or launching a side hustle online. The truth is, clarity often comes after action, not before. One insight that helped me break through this barrier was realizing that what I actually need is clearer priorities, not more time. As the article mentions, bills and responsibilities never wait or postpone themselves, so why should we delay important personal goals? Prioritizing what truly matters to our future self — like health, retirement planning, or pursuing dreams — is critical. Taking that first step, no matter how small, can build momentum. For example, I began by dedicating just 10 minutes a day to learning digital marketing concepts. Each day’s progress increased my confidence and reduced the fear of the unknown. Similarly, committing to small daily walks improved my fitness gradually, and the sense of accomplishment kept me going. The experience taught me that "When I'm ready" often turns into "I’m running out of time." It’s better to start imperfectly than to wait for perfect conditions that may never come. Our future self will thank us for the initiative and courage to act. Moreover, setting clearer priorities helps align daily actions to long-term goals. This clarity transforms vague ambitions into achievable plans, reducing procrastination rooted in uncertainty. If you find yourself waiting for the “right time” or to feel 100% ready, consider today a good day to take your first step. Focus on what you can do right now, however small, and trust that confidence and readiness will grow along the journey.
