How long have u been putting yourself on hold?
This photo pretty much sums up my life lately. 🙂
Laptop in front.
Mum behind.
Work still needs to be done.
Caregiving still needs to be done.
For the longest time, I used to think:
“When things settle down, then I’ll focus on myself.”
“When things settle down, then I’ll think about my future.”
But I’ve realised there will always be something that needs our attention.
There will always be responsibilities.
There will always be something demanding our time.
That’s one reason I stopped waiting for life to become easier.
Not coz life suddenly became less busy.
Not coz all my responsibilities disappeared.
But coz life doesn’t stop.
And neither can we.
Some days we move faster.
Some days we move slower.
But as long as we’re moving forward, we’re still making progress.
Thankful to God for the strength to keep going, one step at a time.
If life feels busy for u too, don’t wait for the perfect time.
Take the first small step anyway. 😊

In my own experience juggling responsibilities like work and caregiving, I found it easy to fall into the trap of postponing personal goals, always waiting for a "better time." But life rarely pauses, just like the quote in the photo says: "Life didn't pause. So neither did I." This resonated deeply with me because it highlighted the importance of embracing progress no matter how small. It helped me realize that self-care and future planning are not luxuries to be squeezed in only when everything else settles down. Instead, they're crucial for maintaining balance and resilience amidst ongoing demands. For example, I started dedicating just 10 minutes each day to activities that rejuvenate me, whether reading, journaling, or simply breathing deeply. These small breaks became stepping stones toward reclaiming my energy and focus. Caregiving, especially, comes with endless responsibilities, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. However, integrating self-compassion into daily routines kept me grounded. I learned that moving forward doesn’t mean rushing relentlessly but taking consistent, purposeful steps at a comfortable pace. Some days are slower, and that’s completely okay — progress is still progress. For anyone feeling busy and stuck, my advice is simple: stop waiting for life to get easier. Instead, find ways to weave your aspirations into your current realities. Start with manageable goals, celebrate small victories, and remain grateful for your strength to keep going. This mindset shift transformed how I approach my busy life — not as a barrier but as an impetus for growth. Remember, each small action counts. Whether it’s learning a new skill, planning for the future, or carving out moments of joy, these steps compound into meaningful change. And when challenges arise, remind yourself gently: "Life didn’t pause. So neither did I." Keep moving forward, one step at a time.
