“Trying Again…
Because Giving Up Isn’t an Option 💙”
I’m going to be real for a moment…
I’ve been pushing myself hard to pass this RBT exam. Studying, role playing, asking questions, using my study guide, watching videos doing everything I can to get it right.
But truthfully, I don’t feel like I can handle another failure.
So if you’re in the same boat as me trying, learning, not giving up even when it’s hard I see you. We got this. One step, one lesson, one win at a time. 🙏🏽💙

Preparing for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam can be a challenging journey filled with moments of doubt and frustration. Like many others on this path, it's natural to feel overwhelmed, especially when progress feels slow or setbacks occur. From my experience, one of the most important keys to success is embracing a mindset of resilience and persistence. Incorporating diverse study techniques can make a big difference. For instance, role-playing scenarios, watching educational videos, and actively engaging with your study guides are effective ways to deepen understanding and build confidence. I found that joining study groups or online communities also provided valuable support, as sharing experiences and tips with peers helped me troubleshoot difficult topics and stay motivated. Another helpful approach is breaking down the material into manageable sections. Tackling one lesson at a time allows for focused learning and prevents burnout. Celebrating small victories along the way — such as mastering a concept or passing a practice test — can boost morale and remind you that progress is happening. It's also essential to balance study time with self-care. Taking breaks, maintaining a healthy routine, and keeping a positive outlook contribute to better concentration and reduce anxiety. Remember, failing an exam isn’t a reflection of your worth or capability; it's an opportunity to learn and improve. Finally, connecting your journey to a greater purpose keeps motivation alive. For those aspiring to work in behavioral health or therapy, like in ABA therapy roles, the impact you’ll have on individuals’ lives is meaningful and worth every effort. Keep pushing forward, embracing each challenge as a stepping stone toward a rewarding career. We're all in this #RBTJourney together: one step, one lesson, one win at a time.
