Lord Protect US
We can’t even enjoy the simple things like salads anymore 😔… lettuce, jalapeños two of my favorites now tied to Salmonella.
It’s just too much.
But one thing I know for sure… GOD is still in control 🙌🏽
LORD, please be with us, protect our families, and cover everything we consume. Keep us safe in a world where even food feels uncertain. 🥗🙏🏽💚

Lately, the presence of Salmonella in common foods like lettuce and jalapeños has made many of us more cautious about what we eat. It’s unsettling when favorites become sources of concern, especially because fresh salads are often seen as healthy, safe choices. From my own experience, staying informed about food recalls and practicing safe food handling at home can make a big difference. Washing vegetables thoroughly and keeping kitchen areas clean are key steps I take to reduce risk. But beyond the practical side, maintaining a sense of calm and faith is just as important. When the news about food safety issues piles up, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or fearful. Internalizing reminders that a higher power is watching over us helps me manage that anxiety, allowing me to remain hopeful and focused on what I can control. Also, connecting with communities and sharing concerns can provide emotional support. Whether it’s through prayer groups or online forums like #FaithOverFear or #StayCovered, these spaces foster encouragement and remind us we’re not alone in our worries. Ultimately, balancing caution with faith and positivity is a personal journey. I encourage others to take sensible precautions but also to embrace trust and peace of mind in the midst of uncertain times when even everyday food can feel risky.
