Not Thirty Yet ✨🎂

Wow, can you believe we're already talking about our last year in our 20s? It feels like just yesterday I was turning 21, and now, here we are, on the brink of a new decade. For me, this year has been a real mix of nostalgia, reflection, and exciting anticipation. It’s not just about the big birthday bash; it’s about savoring every moment before a new chapter begins. One of the biggest things I’ve realized in this final stretch of my twenties is just how much I've grown. Looking back, my early 20s were a whirlwind of figuring things out – career paths, friendships, even just who I was! Now, at 29, there's a certain calm and confidence that feels really empowering. It’s like all those small steps and missteps finally make sense, shaping me into the person I am today. I’ve learned to trust my gut more, to say no when I need to, and to truly appreciate the people who uplift me. So, what exactly does one do in their last year in their 20s? For me, it's been about intentional living. I've been trying to tick off a few 'mini-bucket list' items, like that weekend trip I always talked about, or finally trying that challenging cooking class. It's not about grand gestures, but about creating meaningful memories and experiences. I’ve also been focusing on my well-being – prioritizing sleep, finding joy in daily movement, and nurturing my mental health. It’s like a gentle prep for the next decade, ensuring I enter my 30s feeling my best, inside and out. There's definitely a societal pressure that can creep in when you're approaching 30. Are you where you "should" be? Did you accomplish enough? I've found it so important to silence that noise and focus on my own journey. Everyone's timeline is different, and that's perfectly okay. Instead of dwelling on what hasn't happened, I'm choosing to celebrate every small victory and look forward to the adventures ahead. My 20s taught me resilience, my 30s, I hope, will be about mastery and deeper self-discovery. It's also been a time to really appreciate my circle. The friendships that have stood the test of time feel even more precious, and I've consciously invested in nurturing those bonds. Sharing these reflections with friends who are also navigating this transition has been incredibly comforting and inspiring. We're all in this together, learning and growing. As I get ready to blow out the candles on my 29th cake and countdown to the big 3-0, I'm filled with gratitude for the journey so far and excitement for what's to come. What about you?
