My first Apartment was so much fun to decorate and customize! 😍🥰
For this post, I wanted it to be realistic for a lot of people who may be in my shoes or similar because we all need more than just cutlery and dishware. Of course we have to buy the silverware and the plates and cups when moving to a new places. But I didn’t necessarily have to buy those thanks to my family and friends that gave me those things when I told them that I was moving. So for me, I was someone who was more focused on getting a bed frame, a couch and a security system and actual furniture and decor. If you’re about to move, ask the people around you who are already established, if they have any sets that they’re not using in their home or go thrifting.
Amazon was my best friend when I first moved and it’s going to be my best friend when I move into my next apartment. 😏
In terms of the dining room set, I was very blessed because my godmother’s close friend was moving and was looking to get rid of the set since she wanted to switch up her decor. My God mom called her friend and told her I was moving and needed a dining set. Chilllllddd she gave me the WHOLE thing for free. Yes for FREE!!! A whole winery, a whole dining table with six chairs plus a painting!?!! I am very blessed with this one!
The shower head came from of course #amazon😍. There are various types to buy on Amazon that’s pretty easy to assemble and it matched the black and white color scheme I was going for in the bathroom.

The couch I’ll be honest, cost me about $900 at the time but it was worth it. Because other places were charging me over $1900 for a smaller couch. Mines came with an ottoman that opens for storage, 2 cupholders and It’s very comfortable. I’ve had multiple people fall asleep on this couch and im talking, they are knocked out in minutes. 😂😂
Putting the couch together was fairly easy. I had my father do it for me and he did it pretty quickly. Shout out to pops. ❤️ #wayfairfinds

I know the Ring security system was over $200 but I will always say spend the money for your safety. There are crazy people in the world and you have to make sure you’re safe! (safety /security post coming soon. So stay tuned!) Not to mention other security systems were more pricier than Ring so I was happy with my purchase. I bought mines from Best Buy everything came out to almost $300 and included free installation at the time thanks to my boyfriend being a total tech member.😇
