Indian healing clay mask W/ Apple Cider Vinegar

I recently did a Indian healing clay mask treatment on my hair. I used the oils as pictured with the apple cider vinegar. I left this until it got hard and dry. I then rinsed it out with warm water. My hair came back to life after🤗🤗 I def recommend this mask. If you have tried this and used other ingredients please let me know.

I always recommend using a non-metal bowl and spoon because metal can react with the bentonite clay, potentially reducing its effectiveness. My personal recipe usually starts with about 1/2 cup of Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay, and then I slowly add Apple Cider Vinegar with 'the mother' (like the USDA Organic one pictured – it’s packed with enzymes and probiotics!) until it forms a smooth, yogurt-like paste. Many people use water, but I swear by ACV for that extra scalp detox, pH balancing magic, and incredible shine boost. It really helps to clarify the scalp and close the hair cuticles, leading to smoother, shinier strands. Now, let's talk about the oils – they're a total game-changer! The original post mentioned 'as pictured,' and for me, incorporating nourishing oils is non-negotiable. I use a tablespoon or two of a blend, often including the Biotin Oil or an array of Olive Oils shown in the pictures. These oils are essential for preventing any potential dryness from the clay, ensuring your hair feels soft, supple, and deeply nourished, never stripped. Sometimes, I even add a few drops of a 'Herbal Revitalize & Volume & Growth Nourish Hair Chemist' oil or rosemary oil for added scalp stimulation and hair growth support, or peppermint oil for a refreshing tingle. This step is truly key for maintaining moisture and elasticity. When it comes to application, I section my damp hair and work the mask from roots to ends, making sure to really focus on my scalp. This clay is absolutely fantastic for drawing out impurities, excess oil, and product buildup that can weigh hair down. That's precisely why my hair felt so 'revived' and light! While I left mine on until it was hard and dry, for those new to clay masks, I’d suggest starting with 15-20 minutes, especially if you have finer or color-treated hair, just to see how your hair reacts. You definitely don't want to over-dry it, as that could lead to brittleness. Always do a small patch test first, especially if you have a sensitive scalp! Rinsing needs a little patience. I use warm water and gently massage my scalp to ensure all the clay is thoroughly removed. Afterwards, I always follow up with a good moisturizing conditioner or even a deep conditioning treatment. This helps to seal in hydration, further balance the pH, and ensures my hair remains incredibly soft and silky. I typically integrate this powerful mask into my routine once every 2-4 weeks, depending on how much product buildup I feel I have or if my scalp needs a good refresh. It's become an absolutely essential part of my hair care regimen, helping me achieve healthier, more vibrant hair, and I truly hope these extra tips help you unlock incredible results too!
