Night 🌃 to Day 🏙️

Hello Loves 💕

This might be a little backwards, but since my day starts when I get off of work, I thought it would only make sense to first post about getting unready since my last post was about working overnight.

So..let’s get unready! 🤗

🫧Face wash: Cetaphil daily (great for combo skin)

Found at: Any retail/grocery store ~7-9$

🌞Brightening: Kiyo Serums Vitamin C + hyaluronic - I use this for my dark marks left from acne. I’ve only had it a couple weeks so far and it’s done a great job.

Found at: Marshalls ~5.99$

🧴Moisture: Farmstay black snail & Peptide9 Perfeft Ampoule, Cetaphil face lotion, Acure Overnight treatment — I use all of these for moisture & obviously I only use the overnight when I’m going to sleep and leave me waking up supple asf.

Found at: All found at Marshalls, ~12-16$

I have pretty sensitive skin so I have to be suuuuuper careful with what I put on it.

Thankfully I found that cetaphil is my go-to girl for face wash/cream, especially with them truly being fragrance free! IYKYK🤣

Products that I get for hyperpigmentation vary because I like to try different things, but still careful to make sure there is no fragrance or essential oils in it (citrus❌, lavender❌, lemongrass❌), plant derived products are usually the safest even given my restrictions!

Even tho I’m a combo skin girl and have an oily T-zone, I still love to hydrate my skin to the max before going to sleep and let all that moisture kick in and do its job while I rest.

It’s not a perfect routine but it works for me!😊

What are some of your go-to’s for getting unready? I do feel like something is missing tho…Let me know anything you think I should try for combo/oily skin!

✨Until next time my loves✨

... Read moreHey skincare lovers! I've shared my go-to 'unready' routine, but let's dive deeper into some other aspects of skin care that have truly transformed my journey, especially for us sensitive and combo skin folks. It's all about understanding what your skin craves! One of the biggest game-changers for my sensitive skin was going completely fragrance-free. It might seem small, but synthetic fragrances are a common irritant that can cause redness, dryness, and even breakouts. I learned this the hard way! Look for labels clearly stating 'fragrance-free' or 'for sensitive skin.' Even 'natural' fragrances like essential oils can be problematic for many, so I always check ingredient lists carefully. My rule of thumb is: if it smells strongly of anything, I'm probably passing on it. Beyond the Vitamin C serum I mentioned, tackling hyperpigmentation is a long game. I've found that consistency is absolutely key. Besides Vitamin C, ingredients like Niacinamide, Alpha Arbutin, and gentle retinoids (if your sensitive skin can handle them, patch test first!) have been on my radar. Sunscreen during the day, even if you're indoors a lot, is non-negotiable to prevent existing dark spots from getting darker and new ones from forming. Remember, patience is a virtue when you're trying to fade those stubborn marks. For my fellow combo skin warriors, it's a constant battle between an oily T-zone and drier cheeks. My secret? Hydration, hydration, hydration! Contrary to popular belief, often an oily T-zone is actually dehydrated and overproducing oil to compensate. Using lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizers, especially at night, helps to regulate oil production without clogging pores. I also love incorporating hydrating toners or essences. The goal is to nourish both areas without overwhelming either. Sometimes, I even 'multi-mask' or use different products on different areas of my face, but for a nightly routine, a good all-rounder moisturizer like Cetaphil usually does the trick for me. Getting 'With Me' on this journey means really listening to what different parts of your face are telling you. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the products out there, but the most important 'skin care' tip I can give is consistency. Even a simple routine, done every single night, is more effective than a complex one you only stick to occasionally. Also, don't be afraid to adjust! My skin doesn't react the same way every day, especially with changes in weather or stress levels. Sometimes I might skip an active if my skin feels extra sensitive, or add an extra layer of moisture if it's feeling dry. It’s your skin, so you're the expert on it! Finding what works best for your skin is a personal journey, and I hope sharing my experiences helps you on yours. Keep exploring, keep learning, and most importantly, keep loving the skin you're in! Until next time, stay glowing!
