Reimagining a Timeless Prayer
Music has always been a sacred journey for me, an exploration of the divine and the depths of human emotion. As an opera singer, I’ve had the privilege of performing some of the most beautiful and challenging pieces in the classical repertoire. Yet, there is one piece that holds a special place in my heart: my original “Ave Maria.”
The “Ave Maria” prayer has been a cornerstone of classical music for centuries, inspiring countless composers to create their own renditions. From Schubert’s timeless version to Gounod’s hauntingly beautiful interpretation, each “Ave Maria” offers a unique glimpse into the composer’s soul. When I set out to create my version, I wanted to honor this rich tradition while also infusing it with my personal touch.
