Senegal X The Moors X Cowboy culture

Anyone that is sengalese or Gambian , we have a very rich history and culture. Our contributions to the world is amazing. The wolof = Lebu (north) people have connections to the moor empire because we were traders were mixed in with the Arabic people(north africa ). We were involved in the conquering of Spain for 800 years and also helped build a lot of architectural religious temples. I see the influenced in the food culture.(paella ) in sengel and Morocco we have dish called (Thieboudienne) pan filled n with seafood and meat. african influenced. ( When the slaves trade happend we were brought to Louisiana,( help create Creole cooking)Argentina, Columbia( cumbia music we help create), Panama, and 10 other nations. I also learned we were involved in the cowboy culture in certain Latin countries. Native ppl were d***g off because of the Spanish/British invasion off so they used african slaves to help with cattles herding. Black people will always turn anything into a fashion statement. We added our swag to the cowboy culture. The Mandinka people are the rich high class black people who owned lots of gold and diamonds. They are related to Mansa Musa ( The richest african king in the world , they are from the Mali ppl). The Ashanti wasn't the only tribe of people that was dripped out in gold. The Senegalese influence in music fashion and culture should be talked about more because .....it's wild. ....that's why I love being black and more black people need to learn about thier culture... The moors ( WEST/NORTH AFRICANS / the ARABICS built Spain and modernized it). The Moors/Muur have a beautiful history and yes a lot of them help build Europeans society. This is why leanring the real history is important because the powers that be wanna seem like Africans/Black haven't build anything and thats far from the truth. I went to college for journalism so I know how to do my research .

... Read moreThe intersection of Senegalese culture, the Moorish influence, and cowboy traditions speaks volumes about the history of movement and exchange. The Wolof and Lebu people, with their deep ties to North Africa, played significant roles as traders and cultural bearers. Their historical journey includes the formidable impact of the transatlantic slave trade, which saw many African cultures contributing to the rich tapestry of cuisines and musical styles in places like Louisiana, Argentina, and Panama. In Louisiana, for instance, the fusion of African culinary techniques with local ingredients gave rise to Cajun cuisine, revealing how deeply African Americans have influenced American food culture. Similarly, cumbia music, with its African rhythms, finds roots in the cultural heritage of enslaved people who shaped musical landscapes across Latin America. Moreover, the melding of African culture with the cowboy lifestyle in certain Latin countries showcases adaptability and resilience, as African slaves became integral to cattle herding. Black individuals, known for their innovation and style, infused their unique flair into cowboy culture, contributing to a rich tradition that often goes unnoticed in mainstream narratives. Additionally, the story of the Mandinka people ties into this narrative, with their significant wealth and cultural influence, exemplified by figures like Mansa Musa. The blend of African identities, displayed through fashion and art, continues to thrive and evolve, emphasizing a narrative that all black individuals should celebrate and explore further.

The image defines "Negrito/negrita" as a Spanish diminutive term meaning "little Black person/one," used as an endearment or to describe dark features, with its usage being debated. Below, a video thumbnail shows a man speaking, with text mentioning "Spanish colonizers called them 'negritos'."
A Wikipedia article about Negros, the fourth largest island in the Philippines, is displayed. It includes its English and Tagalog pronunciations, land area, and highlights its marine biodiversity. A satellite map of the island is partially visible at the bottom.
The image explains that "Negro Island(s)" refers to historical locations undergoing name changes due to slavery, while "Negros" in Spanish refers to the Afro-Hispanic heritage of dark-skinned people. It also mentions Negro Island, Maine.
