The Ancestors: Historical Research

When I keep hearing everyone say " My Ancestors dont play about me " without doing the historical research of thier Ancestors makes me laugh. Everyone doesn't have good Ancestors. Most people don't have freedom fighters in their lineage. A lot of people ancestors were coons, betrayers, colonizers, abusers, slave catchers, sellouts, were comfortable in assimilation and allinging with patriarchy and oppression.

Who are your Ancestors: Learning and doing historical research on your family tree is very important because you need to know who your calling on and what type of karmic cycle/debt you're inviting into your life. EX. A lot of the women in my family come from a matriarchal culture and background so they never cared about men. They were powerful and stronge intelligent independent women. I can ask the women in my Ancestoral lineage to help me with my career , cover me and to keep away toxic abusive men away . My Ancestors were not maled identified. If you come from lineage of abusers , rapist, prisoners, women beaters, murders, you don't need to channel those Ancestors at all. ( Unless you're using those evil ones for fighting/ spiritual warfare) if you're in a situation like that you should be doing ancestortal healing and fixing the karmic debt in your family,so you dont repeat the cycle. Everyone doesn't have good Ancestors , so that's why its important to find out " WHO ARE YOU CALLING ON" . Finding out what your Ancestors did in thier lives is very important. EX. If you come from a lineage of doctors and nurses and your starting nursing school, find who is a nurse in your family and when you set up the alter put a medical book on the alter and ask that particular spirit/ Ancestors to help you in medical school as a guidance. Being particular and detail oriented will make a huge difference.

Ancestoral Karmic debt : Finding out the karmic trauma in your family is important. Ideologies does get passed down in the family tree. If you come from a lineage of people that were comfortable in oppressioning others , your job in this lifetime is to break those cycles and stop putting racial trauma on other people. Race ,class , gender, and Indenitity politics plays into why our society still operate in a caste system. Some people never decided to do ancestortal healing that why we're seeing a lot of people continue to suffer from karmic debt.

Many people often say, "My ancestors don't play about me," but without digging into who those ancestors truly were, it’s easy to miss the complexities of your heritage. Through my personal experience researching my family history, I discovered that not all ancestors were heroes or freedom fighters; some were involved in troubling histories rooted in oppression or assimilation. This realization inspired me to reflect deeply on the types of ancestral energies I invite into my spiritual and daily life. For example, I come from a matriarchal lineage of strong, independent women who operated outside patriarchal norms. Knowing this has helped me invoke their strength and guidance in my career and in setting boundaries with toxic individuals. It’s powerful to be specific when connecting with your ancestors—for instance, if you’re pursuing a career in medicine, calling on relatives who were nurses or doctors and incorporating symbolic items like a medical book on an altar can enhance that spiritual connection. Another crucial aspect is addressing ancestral karmic debts. Negative patterns such as oppression, betrayal, or abuse can transfer through generations, affecting present-day behaviors and social structures. Understanding this has been vital in my journey to break free from inherited trauma and to work actively on ancestral healing. I’ve learned that working to resolve these karmic cycles involves recognizing painful truths and committing to change those patterns in your own life. Researching and honoring your ancestors with honesty creates a foundation for empowerment rather than denial or idealization. It invites a deeper awareness of how your family history influences your identity, decisions, and spiritual path. By embracing this knowledge, you can consciously seek to transform inherited challenges and foster a legacy of healing and strength for future generations.
