Mystique Bouquet by Afnan Review ✨
This is one of my favorite scent profiles and I like this fragrance quite a bit. I just wish it lasted longer on me and I know I would need more than a 1ML if I were to own this fragrance.
Check back tomorrow to see how it compares to another schmoop.
Welcome to a new series this month where I chat about middle eastern & arabic dupe house fragrances. I have full bottles, samples, and decants I’m wearing and exploring.
I want to understand the “hype” behind some of these fragrances and most of them I genuinely really enjoy. Let’s smell, learn, and discern what makes them smell good or bad for that matter.
This is your reminder that not all Arabic and middle eastern fragrances are DUPES! This is very important to educate audiences about.
🔗Fragrances I mention will all be linked on Shopmy and/or LTK in bio.

I recently got my hands on the much-talked-about Mystique Bouquet by Afnan, and I've been so excited to share my detailed thoughts with you all, especially as I delve deeper into the world of Middle Eastern and Arabic fragrances. My initial review was just a taste, but there's so much more to unpack with this particular scent. When I first sprayed Mystique Bouquet, I was immediately greeted by a bright, effervescent burst. While the official notes aren't always easy to find for these gems, I definitely pick up on a beautiful blend of florals – a true "oriental flower perfume" experience. It’s not just a flat floral; there's a certain sweetness, almost juicy, that balances it perfectly, perhaps a hint of fruit or a soft vanilla in the background, making it truly captivating. It has this soft elegance that makes you want to keep sniffing your wrist. Is it "afnan delicious"? While not the same, it certainly evokes a similar feeling of delightful wearability and charm. Now, regarding longevity – a crucial point in any fragrance review! My original thought was that it didn't last too long on me. However, after experimenting a bit more, I've found a few tricks that really help. Hydrating my skin before application and spraying on clothing (not just skin) significantly improves its staying power. On skin alone, I get about 3-4 hours, but on clothes, it easily extends to 6-8 hours, which is much better! It projects moderately for the first hour or two, then settles into a lovely skin scent. For a Middle Eastern fragrance at this price point, I think that's quite reasonable, especially with a few tweaks. The big question that often comes up with these brands is: Is Mystique Bouquet a dupe? The term "dupe house fragrances" is thrown around so much, and it's essential to clarify. While many Middle Eastern houses create fragrances inspired by popular designer scents, it's not always a direct copy. In the case of Mystique Bouquet, I don't find it to be an exact dupe for anything I've tried. Rather, it has its own unique charm, drawing inspiration from a general "oriental floral" category. It embodies the luxurious, rich scent profiles often associated with Arabic perfumes, but with its own distinct personality. It’s important to remember that these aren't just 'copies'; they are often exquisite creations in their own right, offering incredible value and quality. If you're on the hunt for a gorgeous "oriental flower perfume" that feels sophisticated and alluring, Mystique Bouquet by Afnan is definitely one to consider. It's a fantastic entry point into the world of Middle Eastern fragrances if you enjoy sweet, elegant florals. It’s garnered a lot of attention, and after spending more time with it, I can see why. It’s not a powerhouse beast mode scent, but it’s beautifully blended and very versatile for everyday wear or special occasions when you want to feel effortlessly chic. I truly believe it brings a unique flair to any collection, distinguishing itself from other popular offerings and making it a worthwhile exploration for any perfume lover. What are your thoughts on it? Have you tried it or any other Afnan scents?

I get a pretty average longevity of 5 hours which I personally feel is acceptable for the price point in comparison to the PDM. For the point that it isn’t as well grounded, that I’m not able to discuss because I am housebound so I have never smelled any of the fragrances at retail. I have to blind buy all fragrances. 😁😊💕💕💕
