I did NOT realize this would be cropped

Tiktok might be dying in America, so I guess I'll attempt to post here now. I'm still on discord and Tumblr as quirklesscrow, in case someone didn't know.

I watched I Saw The TV Glow last weekend, and then found myself going through my old art and then drawing some of the old doodles I've done of myself over the years. I've been out as trans with attempts to live as true to myself as possible for about a fourth of my life, which was weird for myself to remember time passing, but I'd like to think that I'm living on that other side of the TV screen. #isawthetvglow #traditionalart #mixedmediaart

The narrative of transition in one's life, such as coming out as transgender, is often intertwined with creative exploration. By revisiting old artworks and doodles, individuals can process their past and celebrate their growth. The film 'I Saw The TV Glow' resonates deeply with this theme of reflection and transformation, inspiring viewers to reconnect with their inner selves through the lens of creativity. Moreover, platforms like TikTok, while popular, can change rapidly, making it essential for artists and creators to adapt by seeking out new communities and platforms, such as Discord and Tumblr. Engaging in discussions about traditional art and mixed media can foster a sense of belonging and support among like-minded individuals, encouraging artists to share their stories and techniques. Art can bridge gaps between personal experiences and communal understanding, allowing for a richer dialogue on identity and artistic expression.
