Meals that I make for my 12 month old
These are just meals I make for my baby girl, of course she gets more of a variety and snacks in between , I just have to be consistent with my picture taking abilities 😂
Feeding a 12-month-old can be both exciting and challenging as babies transition to more textured foods and develop their eating habits. It’s important to offer a variety of nutrient-rich foods that provide essential vitamins, minerals, and proteins to support rapid growth and brain development. Incorporating a mix of fruits like raspberries and pomegranate can provide antioxidants and vitamin C, important for immune health. Including vegetables such as broccoli, especially served with a child-friendly ranch dip, offers fiber and vital nutrients like vitamin K and calcium. Protein sources like shredded chicken and ground beef are essential for muscle growth and development, while shredded cheese adds calcium and fats necessary for brain development. Egg bites are a convenient, protein-packed option that can be flavored with mild herbs or vegetables to keep meals interesting and enjoyable. Offering toast with and without butter caters to varying texture preferences and introduces healthy fats. When preparing meals, ensure all ingredients are cooked to a soft texture and cut into small, manageable pieces to prevent choking. Consistency in meal timing helps establish healthy eating routines. Alongside these meals, including healthy snacks like fruit and small portions of cheese throughout the day can keep energy levels steady. Hydration with water is also vital as babies reduce milk intake. Including a diverse palette of tastes and textures while ensuring balanced meals with fruits, vegetables, proteins, and healthy fats supports your 12-month-old’s development and encourages healthy eating habits that last a lifetime.
