「 Disciplines I’ve adopted 」

Dying to your flesh sounds scary. It can feel even scarier, but to die is to gain when it comes to your christian walk. Learning to trust God in the places people have is scary, but be honest with Him. I was silent towards Him for too long and He still never left, now I feel like I’m playing catch up but in the best way possible. I can’t get enough of Him. I want to be as close as possible, and the more time to spend with Him the less your heart will long for things of this world. One powerful way to begin is through quiet time, dedicating moments each day for devotional reading and scripture study. This practice fosters intimacy with God, allowing for personal reflection and a deeper understanding of His word. Abandoning secular music may seem challenging; however, the impact it can have on emotional and spiritual well-being is profound. By focusing on praise and worship music, individuals can create an atmosphere of gratitude and hope, which helps keep their minds aligned with their faith. Nightly prayer serves as a therapeutic bridge between each day's experiences and the peace found in divine companionship. Expressing worries and gratitude before sleeping can lead to restful nights, as many find their minds settled in God's presence. Additionally, it's perfectly acceptable to pick up on prayers where they left off, illustrating God's patience and understanding in our spiritual journeys. By adopting these disciplines, individuals not only draw closer to God but also cultivate a lifestyle reflective of their Christian values.
