... Read moreTraveling to Bangkok for 9 days offers an exciting mix of cultural exploration, shopping, and relaxation. Based on my recent trip, I found budgeting crucial for maximizing enjoyment without overspending. Flights can be affordable when booked through student prices, as I did via Singapore Airlines, and selecting a comfortable hotel such as Loft Bangkok Hotel in a central location helped with easy access to major attractions. One highlight was visiting bustling markets like Pratunam, Platinum Mall, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market. Each has a unique vibe and offers everything from clothes and accessories to quirky souvenirs. Chatuchak, in particular, is a massive weekend market that's perfect for those who enjoy hunting for deals and local snacks. Exploring Yaowarat Road in Chinatown at night is another must-do; the street food stalls there provide authentic, delicious options ranging from dumplings to grilled meats. Photography also played an important role in capturing memories. Booking a Thai photoshoot at Thaiglamstudio added a special touch to the trip, allowing me to enjoy professional photos in beautiful traditional and modern settings. It’s a fun way to immortalize your vacation outfits and the iconic Bangkok scenery. For self-care, I scheduled a nail art session at Bonnie Studio and a relaxing massage near the hotel, which were perfect for staying refreshed. Also, although I didn’t track every meal, Bangkok offers diverse cuisines, but funny enough, I ended up eating a lot of Japanese food! Exploring beyond the tourist spots, I visited places like the Lemon Curd & Co., famous for being a filming location, and quirky stores like the Sylvanian Family Store and Mega Plaza for collectibles and squishies. In sum, combining local vendor visits, well-planned rest times, and surprises like early birthday celebrations made this Bangkok trip memorable. If you’re planning a multi-day itinerary, balancing sightseeing with relaxation, plus having a flexible approach to food choices, can enhance your travel experience tremendously.
