I’m athena! Nice to meet you

Wow, this is my first post on Lemon8, and I'm already so excited to connect with you all! It feels a bit like writing in a new diary, sharing bits of my world. As I mentioned, I’m Athena, and my life right now is a beautiful, sometimes chaotic, blend of roles. You might be wondering about my 'high school sweetheart.' Yes, it’s true! We’ve been together since those awkward teenage years, and he's truly my rock. It’s been an incredible journey growing up together, from navigating school dances to now raising our sweet baby girl. Life with a toddler is a whole new adventure, and having him by my side makes every day brighter, even the challenging ones. We've built a life that balances our dreams with the joys of parenthood, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It’s funny how much changes, yet the core of our relationship stays the same – full of laughter, support, and a shared love for our little one. Being a Mother to my one-year-old daughter is, without a doubt, the most rewarding job I've ever had. Every day is a new discovery, watching her learn and grow. It's not always picture-perfect; there are definitely days where I feel like an ultimate Messy Girl, juggling college assignments, work, and endless baby duties, but that's part of the authentic journey, right? I'm learning to embrace the spills, the sleepless nights, and the constant need for coffee as part of this beautiful chapter. Outside of mom life, I find my escapes and passions. My biggest one? Reading books. Seriously, give me a cozy blanket, a warm drink, and a good story, and I’m in heaven. I mostly dive into fantasy, romance, and psychological thrillers – anything that can transport me to another world. I’m hoping to share my latest reads and maybe even start a little book club here on Lemon8. It’s my way to unwind and recharge amidst everything else. And speaking of escapes, I’m a huge Disney lover! From classic animations to Pixar masterpieces, there's just something magical about them. They always bring a smile to my face and remind me to find joy in the simple things. Our daughter is just starting to get into them too, and it’s been so much fun introducing her to characters I adored as a child. I also have a soft spot for animals, they just bring so much warmth and unconditional love into the home. Balancing college with work at an assisted living facility keeps me busy, but it's incredibly fulfilling. Learning new things and helping others are two things I truly value. Ultimately, I joined Lemon8 because I want to connect. Especially with other mamas who understand the beautiful chaos of parenthood. I'm eager to share my experiences, learn from yours, and build a supportive community.
