2016 called 📞

That year was filled with amazing memories with friends and family. It was a year of self-discovery and transformation. It was my gap year between undergrad and grad school.

I kicked off my career as a personal trainer and retail professional outside STL, then returned home for 5 months to explore corporate wellness, and finally ended the year with a big move to FL for grad school.

Beyond starting my career as a personal trainer and venturing into corporate wellness, 2016 was a year packed with unforgettable experiences that contributed to my growth. I participated in a 55-mile bike race which pushed my physical limits and mindfulness about endurance. Family support played a big role during this time, especially moments like running with my sister-in-law and celebrating my sister’s wedding, which highlighted the importance of loved ones in life’s major milestones. Moreover, I embraced community service, going on a mission trip to Minnesota, which broadened my perspective on giving back and connected me with new cultures and people, enriching my personal and professional outlook. The year culminated in an exciting acceptance into the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Florida—an achievement reflecting hard work and dedication. These experiences emphasized the value of embracing change, from moving cities to meeting new people and taking on challenges. Whether it was cheering on the Cardinals at Busch Stadium, sharing Halloween moments with amazing roommates, or cooking meals that brought joy, 2016 was a vibrant tapestry of transformation and adventure. It's a reminder that gap years can be powerful periods for self-discovery, setting the stage for future success in both career and personal life.
