Bariatric surgery
Home🏠To many potholes. Felt everyone
🤕 this morning was rough. Still in alot of pain. Having a ton of pain in my shoulder of all places. It was explained that is nerve. They inflate your body and that can anger your nerves. Mine is super angry and spreading it anger all
across my chest. And an occassioal gab to side.
All I have ate since Sunday is part of that cup of jello and the melted popsicle. Really not hunger. But it wont last long. My stomach has to adapt first. Then the hunger will return. Stomach is smaller. Will just take in less. My brain is foggy. Lack of protein
I came home and took a good nap. You can never sleep in the hospital.
So glad to be home!
Wanted to share my post op instructions for those that are in interest

Post-bariatric surgery requires careful attention to hydration and diet. It's important to drink at least 80 ounces of water daily to stay hydrated. After around three days, you can begin counting protein intake, aiming for 90 grams per day. Do not drive until you are off pain medication and feel confident in your ability to control the vehicle. For the first two weeks, avoid lifting anything over 20 pounds and stick to a full liquid diet until you get the green light from your healthcare provider. Protein shakes, Greek yogurt, and smooth soups are excellent choices to meet your dietary needs during this period. For example, your meals might include: ½ cup of protein shake, ½ cup of Greek yogurt, followed by soup. Incorporating unflavored protein powder into your drinks can help you meet your protein goals. Remember, post-operative care plays a vital role in your recovery and long-term health.
