Daisy’s First Adventure!

Daisy’s first big adventure! 🐾 We waited for her harness to arrive since she’s not quite trail-trained yet, but it was worth it. Her nose was on overdrive, taking in all the snowy scents! ❄️ I was worried she’d get cold, but she powered through like a champ on her 3.5-mile hike. Proud of my girl! #hikingwithmydog #hikewithyourdog #Lemon8Diary #dogsoflemon8 #ourjourney

... Read moreWinter hiking with your dog can be a unique and fulfilling experience. Dogs, like Daisy, often love to explore the snowy trails and indulge their senses in the fresh scents of winter. When planning a hike with your furry friend, always ensure they have appropriate gear, such as a warm harness and dog boots to protect their paws from the cold and ice. Before hitting the trail, check the weather conditions and look for dog-friendly hiking paths that are safe and suitable for your pup’s energy levels. Keep your dog hydrated and take plenty of breaks, especially on longer hikes, to give them a chance to rest. Additionally, familiarize yourself with common signs of hypothermia in dogs, as they can be susceptible to cold temperatures, even with a good winter coat. Bring along some snacks for both you and your dog, and don’t forget to capture the delightful moments during your adventure. Use hashtags like #hikingwithmydog and #dogsoflemon8 to share your experiences and attract other outdoor enthusiasts looking for dog-friendly tips. With the right preparation, you and Daisy can enjoy many more adventures together in the wonderful winter landscape.
