The key products featured in this process are the Sun Bum Blonde Hair Lightener and Blonde Tone Enhancer, designed to gradually lift hair color using sunlight activation. This method leverages the natural lightening effect of the sun combined with these specially formulated lighteners that contain gentle ingredients to prevent damage. Moreover, using the OGX Extra Strength Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil plays a crucial role in nourishing and restoring hair health after lightening treatments. Argan oil is widely recognized for its deeply penetrating moisturizing properties, helping to smooth, repair, and add shine to dry or coarse hair. Applying argan oil to the hair ends ensures they stay hydrated and resistant to breakage. The Sun Bum Revitalizing Hair Mask is another integral part of this hair care routine. Regular weekly application of this mask helps to strengthen hair by replenishing moisture and repairing damage caused by sun exposure and chemical applications. Together, these products create a balanced regimen that not only lightens hair but also maintains its vitality and softness. For best results, apply the Blonde Hair Lightener and Tone Enhancer several times a week with adequate sun exposure, monitoring hair’s response to avoid over-drying. Follow each session with rich moisturizing treatments like the hair mask and argan oil to help restore and lock in hydration. This approach allows hair to become progressively blonder with a natural look and minimal damage. Additionally, all these products are conveniently available at Target, making it easy to maintain your blonde look at home. This method is ideal for individuals seeking a gradual, sun-activated lightening process combined with nourishing care to keep hair healthy, vibrant, and beautiful throughout the hair color transformation.

My mom told me she used to use peroxide when she was growing up. She would put it in her hair before she went outside

The sun bum lightener damaged my hair soo bad when I was in middle school and early high school. I used it all summer as a life guard and it made my hair feel like sticky straw, be careful with that one for long term use unless they’re changed the formula in the last few years!
