Necktie Necklace -make your own for Pennies!

My second necktie necklace attempt. I purchased the set from Amazon. It included the tie, pocket handkerchief, and cuff links. The set was $16.99, I got it because I liked the tie pattern. I do have a couple of french cuff shirts that I can dig out of the back of my closet to wear with the cuff links if I choose to do so. Also, I have one or two blazers that have the men’s front pocket that I can stuff the hankie in for a total look. The brooch is one I’ve had lying around and the necklace was part of a set from paparazzi jewelry I’ve had for a while. For just over $15 I created my own. I’ve seen these ties for $50 plus. I think the trend is slowing down and I don’t want to have a lot in a trendy look that will probably be dated this coming spring.

Purchasing a set that includes a necktie, pocket handkerchief, and cufflinks can be a budget-friendly way to experiment with this trend. The tie's unique pattern is key, both for visual appeal and for ensuring your necklace stands out. Additionally, incorporating items like a brooch or necklace pendant you already own can add a personalized touch, making the look truly your own. French cuff shirts and blazers with front pockets are ideal for complementing this style. The cufflinks add an upscale flair, while stuffing a pocket handkerchief into a blazer pocket completes the ensemble, giving a cohesive and fashionable appearance. This DIY approach not only saves money compared to buying expensive ready-made necktie necklaces (often priced over $50) but also allows customization matched to your style preferences. Since fashion trends, including necktie necklaces, can evolve quickly, homemade accessories provide flexibility without excessive investment. You can update your look with different ties or embellishments as trends shift, keeping your wardrobe fresh. Moreover, crafting your own pieces encourages creativity and provides a sense of accomplishment. Whether for casual outings or dressier events, a necktie necklace assembled from thrifted or affordable sets offers both versatility and a unique statement.
