But I love all the EmHen books 🫶
Do you agree with my ranking of these?? 🤣
As a long-time fan of Emily Henry's work, I've found that each of her novels offers a unique blend of heartfelt romance and witty storytelling that keeps me coming back for more. For instance, "Beach Read" is a standout with its emotional depth and the charming dynamic between the characters Gus and the protagonist; it’s a read that sparked butterflies and warmth in me. On the other hand, "Happy Place" brought a different pace. Although I found it a bit slower compared to her other books due to the focus on a group of friends rather than just the romantic leads, it still delivered that sharp, emotional punch that Henry is known for. It’s great when you’re in the mood for a bittersweet exploration of relationships. "Funny Story" quickly became my top pick. I couldn’t put it down thanks to Henry’s witty humor and engaging plot, showcasing her growth as a writer and her ability to craft memorable characters like Miles Nowak. It’s clear why this book reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. Moreover, "People We Meet on Vacation" features the dynamic of Alex and Poppy, whose chemistry is palpable both in book form and on screen through the film adaptation. Despite some differences between the two, the book’s charm remains intact, making it a must-read for rom-com lovers. For those new to Emily Henry or unsure what to pick up next, I recommend starting with "Funny Story" if you want a fast-paced, hilarious love story, or "Beach Read" if you're more interested in a layered, emotionally nuanced narrative. Also, keep an eye out for her upcoming titles, such as "Great Big Wonderful" and "Life Book Lovers," which promise to continue her streak of compelling storytelling. Personally, ranking these books is quite the challenge because of my genuine love for all of Henry’s works. It’s always exciting to see how she surprises her readers with fresh plots and relatable characters. If you haven’t dived into her novels yet, you’re missing out on some of the best contemporary romance the genre has to offer.
