Before you judge you have to know my life. These tell a story, beyond face value. This is anti culture appropriation, this is ASSIMILATION. This is the journey. Tattoos represent your story, like Mauri on Moana. Ask me I will tell you a story about Lei Day, Lay Day (Beltane,) and Law Day. All our stories have been scrubbed... I can tell you one of the true Beltane, Pirates, Gypsies, and Pigen cultures/languages. These are drawings that have built over a couple years. Kupono and Lokahi will be smaller and the triangle on the wrist will be half empty and have blackened in. This will all be done the traditional method by someone who knows that culture and has heard my story. I will give the artist rein to make a hibiscus (pua) in my skin with the word. The divine feminine receptive and strong. Emotionally willing to just be open to how it plays out.

Incorporating the hibiscus flower, or pua, infused with the concept of the divine feminine, represents emotional openness and strength. I selected an artist who truly listens and understands the cultural context, ensuring each stroke respects the story behind the ink. This process of collaboration emphasizes anti-cultural appropriation and instead celebrates assimilation in a respectful, informed manner.
