Outline Tips!
Outlining can be the most difficult part of the writing process. Personally, I have found no structure to go from, but it worked for me.
1. Notes app.
♥️I write a lot of ideas I catch on the whim through the day. If there is a plot hole I need to fill, it goes in there. This has saved me from going into a writers block.
2. Good ole pen and paper.
♥️ I am old school. I need to have something that I can flip through. In my early stages of writing, I would sit down and put the whole book in little cause and effect box diagrams. Listing what is important, how it contributes, the goal of the chapter, character development you name it. I attached a photo that is extremely helpful!
3. Finding a site that works for you.
♥️ When I first started working on my book, I went through countless tiktoks for resources. I wanted my work to be protected and google docs was not one of them. I stumbled across Reedsy and they are absolutely wonderful. It give a break down on characters, outline and manuscript. Their outline program was the most helpful of all. It gives you examples through acts. In your three acts you hit every element of your story.
