my fails as a writer
I pulled these from the first draft of my manuscript. I put them on a second document because the surrounding parts gave too much away.
For starters, when you back into a wall and someone is coming at you, it’s implied that you are cornered with no where to move.
Second, the red word was an edit I made as I was creating this document. There was no word there before just “She five feet away.”
Lastly, the situation is explained previously and with the intensity of the book, it is also clear that they aren’t doing some easy work. Without being said, I have a lot of these.
My goal is to open up about every little thing that I have experienced so far as I go through the writing process of my debut novel. To show that the art isn’t perfect the first time around. I am constantly changing things and rewriting as I go through the second draft and it has made a significant change to the storyline. It’s okay to make mistakes and laugh about them. These aren’t even the worse ones, but my editing has some funny commentary to the sides I can’t help to laugh at.
