Sunday Round-Up

The second draft is kicking my butt. It feels like I am slower than when I wrote the first draft. Everything is getting better, the writing and the scenes. I am happy to say we do see the two main characters start to form a connection and it almost feels like a slow burn, but I don’t know if I can classify it like that.

The beginning of this week was a rough start into the book. After work, I was beyond tired and crashed out. Wednesday I wrote a little bit, not enough to make a dent though. However, between friday and saturday I have completed a bigger chunk.

In the second slide, I do offer more of what the projection is to look like. On other news though, I was accepted to be an arc reader for Heir of Sun & Moon’s second book in the series. So, keep a look out for it! If you have not already the first book by Jenessa Ren, I highly recommend. It’s a Rapuzel & Flynn retelling (there’s also a pet companion! 🥹). Crown of Stars & Tides is to be released 27th of September!!

... Read moreIn this edition of Sunday Round-Up, I reflect on the ups and downs of the writing process, particularly focusing on the second draft of my latest novel. Unlike the first draft, the second round proves to be more challenging yet rewarding. Progress is often slow, but I've seen significant improvement in the narrative and the depth of character connections. The relationship between the two protagonists is evolving beautifully and represents a potential slow burn, adding tension and excitement to the storyline. This week started out rough as I dealt with post-work fatigue, making it difficult to find the motivation to write. I did manage to put some words down on Wednesday, but nothing substantial. However, the weekend provided me with a burst of creativity, allowing me to complete a much larger section of the draft. Celebrating these small victories is key in the writing journey. I’m exhilarated to share that I've been accepted as an ARC reader for Jenessa Ren’s highly anticipated sequel, Crown of Stars & Tides, releasing on September 27! This book promises an engaging spin on the Rapunzel mythos, with a captivating mix of romance, adventure, and a delightful pet companion. If you haven’t read the first book, Heir of Sun & Moon, I highly recommend diving into that tale as a prelude! Lastly, I want to encourage fellow writers to keep pursuing your creative journeys. Share your woes and triumphs, and let's support each other in this vibrant community of writers. Use hashtags like #writingcommunity, #writersjourney, and #booktok to connect with others who understand the nuances of our craft.

How To Glow Up This Winter💅🏼
The days are shorter, the air is colder, and your previously radiant skin now looks duller. Winter can be harsh on our skin. We're bombarded with drying winds, colder temperatures, and indoor heat that sucks the moisture right out of us. But don't fret! With the right healthy winter
