From personal experience, I know how daunting it is to leave a familiar job and embrace uncertainty. One of the key lessons learned is that comparison can indeed be a joy killer; focusing on your own path, however winding, brings more peace and motivation. Utilizing available resources is essential. Whether it's academic centers offering tutoring or meeting with advisors who genuinely support your goals, taking advantage of these can make a significant difference. I experienced how professors and mentors who listen and go the extra mile to help you find internships or opportunities shape your confidence and open doors. Having a strong support system—whether family, friends, or community—can ease the burden during tough times. For example, a supportive partner who encourages and helps with logistics can reduce stress and allow you to focus on your ambitions. There are moments of doubt and even depression, especially when progress feels slow or you face barriers like feeling isolated or underestimated. Acknowledging these struggles honestly is part of healing and moving forward. Moreover, recognizing the value of small wins, like microcredentials, internships, or academic achievements, helps build momentum toward long-term goals. Remember, success rarely follows a straight line; resilience is about continuing despite setbacks and trusting in the potential for growth. Holding on to hope means embracing each day as a fresh chance to improve and create a future aligned with your dreams.
