What's something you're proud of yourself for?

For me: I’m proud that I am breaking so many generational curses so my kids do not grow up the same way I did ! My childhood wasn’t terrible or anythimg, it was actually really good. However, my parents could’ve done things differently to prevent a lot of stuff from spiraling. Instead, the carried on the “Trauma Tradition”. I refuse to raise a family like that. ❤️

... Read moreBreaking generational curses is an essential topic that resonates with many individuals striving to create a better environment for their children. By recognizing and addressing inherited patterns of behavior, families can escape cycles of trauma and foster emotional resilience. This endeavor not only benefits oneself but also positively influences the next generation. Engaging in conversations about personal growth is vital. These discussions can lead to the emergence of new coping mechanisms, healthier communication styles, and practices that promote emotional well-being. Community support is invaluable; sharing experiences encourages others to reflect on their family dynamics and consider healthier alternatives. Exploring effective strategies to break these cycles might include seeking therapy, engaging in parenting workshops, or simply having open dialogues with family members. Furthermore, creating a nurturing home environment filled with understanding and empathy is crucial. Generational healing is a gradual process, requiring patience and dedication, but the eventual outcome—a supportive and loving family—is worth the effort.

Not giving up. My best friend was tragically taken away from me a few years back. This was followed by years of court and facing the person that took her life away. I still choose to keep going everyday for her.
