On my future farm: Cotton Patch Geese
These are critically endangered animals!
This would be yet another breed conservation project on my future farm!
Excellent Guards: Get along well with chickens and ducks, which is who they’ll guard. They can also protect the yard, house, or personal property.
Breeding: sell fertilized eggs and hatchlings.
They Mate for life!
Eggs: Cotton Patch geese lay 4–7 eggs per clutch, and in the past, a good goose could lay up to 90 eggs per year.
They are talkative, and active foragers, and have been used as guard geese.
Temperament: Cotton patch geese are docile and gentle, and are known for their comical personalities.
