Baby girl is kicking!✨
26 weeks now!
Baby girl is so strong!!
Her moving around is moving my whole belly, and she hits and kicks hard! 😂 14 weeks to go!
It's absolutely wild to feel those strong kicks become so prominent! At 26 weeks, it’s not just little flutters anymore; it’s a full-on party in there. I remember earlier on, I was constantly wondering when I'd feel something definitive. For me, those first gentle flutters, often described like 'butterflies' or 'popcorn popping,' started around 18-20 weeks. But now, seeing my whole belly move and jolt from her powerful jabs is incredible – truly what it looks like when a baby is getting strong! Knowing I’m having a baby girl has made this journey even more special. We found out during our anatomy scan, and it was such an exciting moment for us. For many expecting parents, finding out the sex of the baby is a big milestone, whether through an ultrasound, NIPT blood test, or even a gender reveal party. It just adds another layer of connection, allowing you to imagine your little one and plan for their arrival in a more tangible way. Picking out tiny dresses and thinking about her future has been so much fun! These powerful movements are also incredibly reassuring. Every kick, every roll, every hiccup (yes, those too!) is a sign that she's growing strong and healthy. My doctor always emphasizes the importance of monitoring fetal movement, especially as you get further along. While counting kicks isn't usually recommended until the third trimester, just being aware of her patterns of activity gives me so much peace of mind. Some days she's more active than others, often waking up just when I'm trying to relax or go to sleep! I've noticed she's particularly lively after I eat something sweet or when I'm lying down. Sometimes, I'll just sit and watch my belly as she moves, trying to guess which limb is pushing out. It's amazing to think about the little person growing inside, and how every movement is part of her development. From the outside, what it looks like can range from subtle ripples to dramatic shifts, almost like she's stretching out her entire body. And what it feels like? It's indescribable – a mix of awe, wonder, and sometimes a little discomfort when she finds a particularly sensitive spot! Beyond the kicks, being 26 weeks pregnant also brings its own set of experiences. I'm definitely feeling more tired some days, and my bump is getting significantly bigger, making it harder to bend over or find a comfortable sleeping position. Staying hydrated, eating nutritious meals, and taking short walks are becoming even more important. It's a journey filled with so many changes, both big and small, but every single one brings me closer to meeting my baby girl. The anticipation is building, and I can't wait for the next 14 weeks to fly by!
